Perspective plays a role in it too, I am always checking out distances from the barns to the fences and the bigger trees in the foreground, the horses compared to their foals, a tractor way off in the distance. I should make time to take my sketch pad and pencils and find a nice spot under the trees and sketch away!
Then there is all the bird life. There is something about a whip bird that brings a joy into my body as does the red tailed black cockatoo. I can hear them miles away and I get tingles. Unlike the white cockatoos that are real larikins here and very loud! Other birds I see and hear are the laughing kookaburras, willy wag tails, butcher birds, magpies, crows & tiny finches that are so bright and colourful.
As I am walking around I continuously think how all these components would fit into a painting. I should be taking my camera with me and capture all the different moments, hmmm bit hard with two dogs on leads, by the time I get my camera ready the subjects have flown! Might have to do a sneak out when they are asleep and go by myself!!
I do live in a wonderful place with such an abundance of flora and fauna and I am grateful to be able to get out my paints and pencils and create!!!!
Till next time
Live the life you want to create for yourself, take the next step and it will all flow.
Love and Light to everyone of you.
