The cooler weather has been creeping in, but the days have been full of sunshine. I must say I do like this time of year, rugging up more, drinking hot chocy, warm cosy house!!
In my last post I said I wanted to paint a peacock.... well that went on the backburner and I decided to do another galah painting to replace the one I sold. Oh and by the way this is what Mary said when she received it...
"Well Jan, Our daughter has finally got the last of her birthday presents. She absolutely loves the galahs you painted.
When we got the parcel out she did wonder if it was a painting, because she noticed you said the galahs had flown West. She briefly thought, I wonder if that's Mums due to me loving my kookaburras...lol.
We are delighted. Thanks and will be following your paintings with interest.
I love getting feedback from my buyers!! Puts a smile on my dial :)
So here is a picture of my latest painting.
I have been experimenting with my acrylics doing a portrait, I have only done one, but I intend to do more and when I am confident will put one up for showing. I enjoyed doing it, and its a challenge getting the skin tones right. I have been doing graphite portraits for so long now, its in my comfort zone so its a nice change to break out and explore other avenues.
I found a couple of little ink sketches I did a while ago, thought I might pop them in here. I must do more ink work, I really enjoy it.
Whatever you do that makes you happy, go with it with all the bells and whistles, sit back and look at what you have achieved and be proud of yourself!!
Love and Light to everyone of you.
